I too was their at the University of Miami field hospital (in Port of Prince), I worked along side with many of the Scientologist volunteers. I was able to get permission to train two young adults that were committed to remain in Haiti for at lease two months to assist the doctors during surgery and cleaning the surgical instruments. They have worked long hours without complaining once. I am pround to call them my friends.
Thanks

What a treat that post was. VMs work tirelessly, with no desire for personal gain, but only to provide succor for those who so desperately need it. It is great when their efforts are recognized like this.

I too am a VM with the Church of Scientology and the liaison for our local VMs with our local CERT group (DVERT in Dunedin FL). Thank you for recognizing our wonderful VMs in the field. While they have a strong support network at home (church, family and friends), it is still encouraging to receive support in the field.

Thanks for the recognition of these great voluteers. I have seen them stop everything in their lives since 9/11 and get on planes, trucks and what every form of transport to help the disaster victims. I am a VM and we get CERT Disaster training so we can help locally and where needed. If we can't go we all pitch in and organize help from home. Is is very good that you have shared this and I thank you!
